In Less Than Five Minutes....

...I can
pet my pony,
rest,

play the keyboard,

get into mommy's cabinet drawers,

and plan for another mission!

Just think how many five minutes there are in a day (especially when you only take 30 minutes for a nap). Wow! I better get started again!

Guess Who?

Who is this beautiful, long haired vixen?
It's Annie Watson, in her straight hair disguise!
Poor Rhett has not been featured in a while. Pardon his absence. Last week he was sick with a virus and has not been his usual self. The only pictures I could have obtained wouldn't have been happy. COMING SOON...the latest and greatest of Rhett.

My cupcake makes cupcakes. . .

On Saturday before Father's Day, Annie and I made cupcakes for Daddy while he was playing golf. Annie was the food critic and she gave the icing four stars. The cake was four stars as well, so maybe the icing was five stars.

Last Stop...Watsons--Out

Ok, last pictures of our day trip. But I had so many cute ones I had to post a few (thousand). Anyway, our last stop was Gunner's Pool. It was so great to be away from toys and t.v. and music and Newport! The kiddos played so well and had so much fun for free! So maybe the best things in life are free (plus gas and snacks). I definitely want to go back to Blanchard Springs sometime.

Look at this water--crystal clear! It reminded of a book my Mimi had when I was little. It showed some children in a stream with fish nibbling their toes. (too bad Annie had on water shoes!)

I'm sure this guy was as sweet as could be but he gave me the creeps. He was showing off his catch of the day to our kids. Please do not invite us to dinner. (was what I was thinking)

Friends Forever! (we hope)

Looking for fish...not for dinner.

Second Stop--Ecoli and Chicken Strips

After our visit to the waterfall, we went to the swimming area. We were just about to get in when Amy saw the ECOLI notice and that swimming was closed. We decided that we'd better not take a chance on getting ecoli and went to ask some park rangers where we could go. They told us to go to a place called Gunner's Pool and on the way we stopped at a place called Cody's for lunch. They had such a clean bathroom that we should have just eaten our chicken strips in there. Well...not really! Ha!
Here is Amy asking these people why they are swimming with ecoli in the water. They hadn't noticed the signs (much like me and Melissa)
Annie all suited up and ready to swim.

Annie and Macie singing Hannah Montanna to Ben (who was not impressed).

At Cody's, home of the clean bathrooms.

First Stop--Waterfall!

We had the best day today--lots of laughs, lots of fun, lots of beautiful nature scenes. Annie, Macie, and Ben enjoyed our trip to Blanchard Springs even though it was truly an adventure with car sickness, pringles messes, and last but not least, e-coli. This set of pictures was our first stop--clear, running streams and waterfalls.

Macie and Annie (small waterfall in back) The water coming off the water was so cold--it was like a refrigerator door opened.
Annie on a bridge over cool, not troubled, water.

This was too sweet not to take a picture of.

Movie star? No, just Annie.

Cutest kids you've ever seen? Yes.

Just in case...

...you ever wondered what it looks like when you get 5 1/2 inches of rain in few hours. If you will look closely at the end (about :55) there is a woman walking down the street on the right carrying newspapers. Apparently her car stalled in the water, but she was determined to get her papers delivered. That is pretty Awesome!!

PS. I apologize for the quality of the film, our camera kept fogging over.

Short and sweet (the post AND the kids!)

I just wanted to post a picture of my matching cuties. This was last week before church. Annie spilled a turquoise sprinkle on her dress at Hunan, which somehow melted into the dress, but I got it out with a wipe. I can't believe people ever had to live without wipes.

Little Swimmer

Annie has been in swimming lessons for the past two weeks, and now that it's over, she is finally getting used to it! My goal was for her to swim under water, but my revised goal was that she would get her face wet or go under a little and not have a melt down. Mission accomplished! I think with a few more weeks we could really have a little swimmer, but it stresses her out so much, I'll say we're done this year.
One of her brightest moments...jumping off and going under all the way. Yea!!
This is what she usually does...jumps off on her instructor's head; therefore NOT going under.

Probably doing some bargaining on how she doesn't need to go under.

Waiting her turn on the steps.

Annie and Macie before lessons one day. Cutie Patooties!!

WALKING TALL--starring Rhett Watson

Be sure to watch this heartwarming tale of a baby boy on his magical journey to the breakfast nook and back to the playroom. A must see!

Critic reviews welcome.

Life's a garden--dig it...

Today was my first official summer vacation and we didn't have to rush to swimming lessons or anything else--it was so nice and relaxing! The weather was PERFECT for playing outside in the sandbox. Annie is a sandbox specialist, but this was Rhett's first time. He didn't love it or hate it, and mainly he just wanted to snack on the rocks in one of our flower beds. The word no means something funny in his mind and to proceed with whatever he's doing. Anyway, here are a few photos of the afternoon.

Annie wanted to pose as a flower.
Hard to tell, but a beautiful sand flower garden (purple dinosaur on left included)
Should I play with these shovels or eat the rocks? Is that even a question?

Sand landscape artist at work (do not disturb--applies to Rhett)

Backyardigans

I hope there's alot of this going on this summer. Being lazy in the backyard. This is actually our neighbors, the Nicholson's, backyard. Annie is on radar for action next door, so it's usually uninvited company!
Annie, Hannah, and Ty taking specimen from the pool....ooooh I'm sure we don't want to know the lab results!
Rhett got into Ty's mudhole

Hannah and Annie as flamingos (they said)

By the way everyone, Rhett is walking now! He pulls up on something, then takes off.
A rear view of the mud hole's damage...not too bad actually.

64 Zoo Lane

If you know me, you know a zoo trip is in the plans no matter where we are! Saturday we took the four babies to the Fort Worth zoo. It was a day of hot, walking, diaper changing, and $2.25 bottled water! Oh yeah, I forgot to mention fun! It really was, though, just being together. I wish we all lived closer.
Here is a shot of Kristie and Annie, Sarah and Grace, and Ben on the end filming.

Annie in her pimped out ride, complete with umbrella.

Annie posing (as usual!)

Rhett in his borrowed stroller.

On your mark, get set......

Fort Worth

For a very sad reason we made a trip to Fort Worth. My Grandmother passed away on Memorial Day. But good things come from bad sometimes and getting to see your family is always a good thing, especially since we have little ones now! And my Grandmother loved her family and would have loved that all the little cousins got to spend some time together. Here are some pix I took out in Grandmother's front yard.
Here is Grace, 19 months. She is the sweetest little girl with her pats on your back and her big squeezy hugs!
Here is Rhett Rhett probably eating a bug or something else gross.

Here is Anara, 9 months. Rhett could not keep his hands off of her. Look at Anara's face: Little rowdy boy say what?

Anara and Annie

Isn't this a great one?
