Fun at Poppa's Work

Monday, I took Rhett up to the Elevator to see some of Poppa's big trucks, and we even scored a tractor ride! Did I mention Rhett loves to read? Well, he loves to read books about trucks, cars, tractors, etc. He is such a boy!

Rhett and Poppa ready to ride...

Checking out the trailer of the "Sleeper Cab"-which we learned about in one of Rhett's truck books...

Driving the big truck...too bad the battery was actually dead--next time we'll go on a real ride. Just being in it was enough for today. :)

Cool beans! I'm living my dream!

My Poppa is awesome!!!

Trunk-or-Treat Continued...

Here are more pictures of Trunk-or-Treat with the kiddos and their friends....
Annie and Rhett actually in our trunk...

How cute!

Friends...

Can you believe we're both in monkey suits? What's going on here?

Forever

Trunk-or-Treat!

This is my favorite event of the year! Trunk-or-Treat was last Sunday night, and as usual, it was great fun! Annie was a beautiful ladybug and Rhett was a little monkey (very appropriate!) . We took a few shots at home before we left ( a few is all we could get with Rhett)!

Black and White

Nate and I didn't mean to wear black and white last Sunday, but we realized that we all matched and had Dad take our pic, so here we are!

All Tuckered Out!

Cowboy/Cowgirl Day at Mrs. Renee's!

Nanna recently got to take Annie to a very fun event in Pre-K. The annual Cowboy/Cowgirl Day at Mrs. Renee's house! There were many events to participate in complete with horse ride and lunch on hay bails. Annie wanted to be sure to look her "cowgirlest" in a plaid shirt, overalls, and braids with ribbons. Cute as a button!
Eatin' your vittles outside is the best...

Giddy up!

Just a swangin'

Howdy!

Roundin' the bend...

Halloween Outfits by Mrs. Jennifer

Enjoy these pictures with matching outfits made by Mrs. Jennifer (our neighbor, former Bible school teacher, and friend!). She made dresses or shirts for all her little friends and they are sooooooo cute! We'll all be sad when her new little friend (first grandbaby) comes in the Spring, and she forgets about all our kids! Ha! No, we'll be happy for her--she will be the best Nanna!

Story Hour with Rhett Watson

Rhett LOVES books!! In fact, that's what he wants to do all the time--read! He would rather read all day than play with his toys. Sometimes I want to hide the books just so he'll get down and play for a bit. Nate took these pics of him while I was giving Annie her bath one Sunday morning. Aren't they precious? He's like a teacher reading the class a story.

Daddy loves me...(that's the name of the book)

Can anyone tell me about their daddy? I sure love mine!

Rhett aka "Tony MoHawk"

Well, looks like Nate caught it, too. .. Cabin fever that is. We've been trapped inside by the rain for so long we don't know what to do with ourselves. Nate resorted to giving Rhett a his first, and hopefully only, mohawk. I hope there's no tattoo ink in this house!

Whaddya lookin' at?

Annie's Own Pictures and Post!

Annie wanted to do her own post, so last night as I was giving Rhett a bath, she took a few pics to share with you. Captions in her own words.

We were in the bathroom and Dad came in.
Funny face!

I'm moving to the ocean...
Sweet Rhett and mom!
Sweet little Boo Boo.

Scandalous!

This photograph was the latest captured of Rhett Watson. He was seemingly a little dazed as he exited out of a PINK car with peanut butter and jelly smeared across his face. When asked to comment he said, "Da da!" We'll have more information for you as it is passed along to us.

Wednesday Night Playtime

On Wednesday nights, Rhett and I stay home and let Annie and Daddy represent the Watsons at church. Church at 7:00 p.m. is extremely too late for little people who go to bed between 7:00 and 7:30. Our routine is a bath after dinner and a little playtime before hitting the crib for the night. This time of the day is actually his happiest, so it's hard for me to cut it short and make him go to bed. But I have to in order to keep up his good bedtime habits. Here are a few pics for you to enjoy.
I recently discovered that I like this train. I even took it to the dentist office and drove it around the lobby while Annie was getting her checkup.
This is still one of my FAVORITE toys. My friend Emery Kate let me borrow it until I learned how to walk. ( Don't tell her I learned how to walk 4 months ago!)

This giraffe was a present to Annie from Santa on her first Christmas. It makes a funny monster-y sound now instead of cute music, but I still think it serves its purpose!

New Sand

Well, school has begun and I'll be a bad blogger from now on. I'll try to put new posts over the weekends..? Here are some pictures of us waiting for Poppa to bring some new sand to the sandbox. It was such beautiful weather for most of last week. We had to play out every day. That's all Rhett wants to do, so I will be glad when it really does turn cooler.

Rhett wanting to catch Sam, the neighbor cat, and Annie trying to catch Rhett. (You can barely catch a glimpse of Sam in the shrubbery).
Waiting on the sand to arrive...

The sand is here!

Armed with shovel and ready to dig...

Ahh...there's nothing better than new sand on a Fall day!

And so it WASNT stomach virus...

After our last post, I felt I needed to update and tell everyone what the verdict was on Annie. I took her to the Doctor on Monday morning, thank goodness, where the diagnosis was tonsilitis. Poor baby had a really bad case, and all the fever and throwing up was caused by the infection. She is well on her way to her regular happy, sassy self and is even going to school tomorrow. I hate when she is sick--I always tell her that we're like E.T. and Elliott. When she is sick, it makes me feel sick, too.
Sweetest girl...
in the world.

A day of fun at the zoo with the stomach virus...

Yesterday we were invited to the zoo by the Rutledges (thanks for inviting us or did we invite ourselves?). Anyway we were so pumped to go in this GORGEOUS weather! Upon arrival at the parking lot, Annie threw up her lunch of blue kool-aid and hot dog (all in her lap and car seat thankfully since we had no back up clothes). Writing it off to car sickness, who is a friend of hers, we went on into the zoo and had a fun filled day of smelly animals, train rides, and cotton candy. After the zoo we went out for pizza. Little did we know....that Annie later would throw up her pizza (complete with LOTS and LOTS of parmesan cheese) ALL OVER THE CAR even reaching the front seat and her daddy! We spent at least 15 -20 ninutes on the side of the highway trying to clean up the disaster as best we could before forging on to Newport. I was never so ready to get home, especially since Rhett cried all the way home after the incident.
Zoo entrance...I can just smell the fun in the air! Wait a minute, I don't think that's fun we're smelling.
Who doesn't have a pic like this? OK yes I look crazy.

Petting farm...we think Claire actually got bitten by one of these guys! Not shown...Rhett LOVING this part!

TOO CUTE together!

They let us take one of the animals home.... just kidding! That was the animal we BROUGHT from home. Before having children, I thought this was the most terrible thing. After having children, I think this is the most wonderful thing! (especially after having Rhett!)
