Livin' the Life at Lu-Lu's

Tuesday night we went to Lu-Lu's (Jimmy Buffet's sister's restaurant). If you haven't been, you should. It's a really fun place to eat if you don't mind the loooong wait. But see, to pass the time you can purchase Lu-Lu's items at the gift shop, eat snow cones, or play in the sand. Here are a few shots of our loooong wait.

Rhett eating a rock, I think. But he sure looks cute doing it (thanks for the adorable outfit Kristie and Aunt Karen!)
Annie on big-sis duty. "Please feed your brother some of your sno-cone--it will keep him in one spot longer." (notice her open mouth--just like a momma feeding her baby!)

Guess who was in Gulf Shores at the same time we were? BEN! Along with mom, dad, and little sis. How AWESOME! We should plan that every year.

Not off the clock yet...

Annie is off the clock..where shall I go next?

Alligator Artists

Nate, Ann, and I sculpted what we believed to be a blue-ribbon-worthy sand alligator. Check it out! If you think we win, leave a comment! Ha!

Beach Babies!

Has everyone missed us? We've been, as you guessed by the title, to the beach! It was the BEST vacation! Maybe it was because we haven't been in two years, or because it was Rhett's first experience on the beach, or because I had the greatest ice cream of my life (thank you Bruster's!). Whatever it was, we had a fabulous time. Of course this is the first of many posts--I have too many cute pics, as usual.

Cutest kids on the beach...
Loving the "foam"... new vocabulary word

What are these little things all over the sand?

Cutest kids on the beach continued...

"Dig, dig, dig," he would actually say!

Summer Saints

Our little circle of friends sometimes has church in different places, and this weekend it was perfect weather for Jacksonport! Amy read a Bible story to the kiddos at a picnic table--I asked Annie a minute ago what story we read and she couldn't remember, but she will remember the fellowship with her church friends! BTW it was Daniel in the Lion's Den, and Annie said "Joseph!" At least he is a Bible character, and she didn't say Joe (Jonas). Ha!

Rhett Rhett really enjoyed himself and some mandarin oranges--I guess being outside made them taste better. Check out his flip-flops, Be!
The three amigos back again--armed with Fun Dip and dangerous (or at least Annie would be if you took it away from her)

And from the back...

In a serious conversation with Daddy--Come on, Dad, I'm NOT too little for the playground.

Sharing is caring....sometimes, when you feel like it.

Rhett Rhett turns 1!

Oh, at this time last year I was just laying my eyes on Rhett for the first time. He was so perfect and precious and sweet and good (and still is all of those things). What a little blessing--he is so much trouble and so worth it! I didn't know I would love him this much (how could I love someone else as much as Annie?). Since he still knows only the cow sound mostly, we decided to do a barnyard theme. This party was funny because he didn't really care about any of it; he mainly just cruised around the house while I opened his presents! What a cutie!

The party room...(aka dining room)
Thanks again to Sabra for the perfect cake!

Hmm. . . a new toy. Where's my broom? (favorite toy of all time)

What? Where did you say it was again? The broom I mean.

Yeah, I like cake. Who doesn't?

Annie's Sweet 5 Bash

I can't believe my baby girl turned 5. That's so big--the last year for her to wear clothes with a "t" on the tag for toddler (at least at baby Gap). She had a blast at her party, needless to say, and so did I this year--since I wasn't about to go into labor the next day!!
Annie's "crack-a-lackin" on the zebra!

It is better to receive than to give..Oops...is that not right?

Watch out boys, this girl eats gator tail!

Love thy neighbor as thyself...

Girls just wanna have fun...they better after all the work this was!

Pre-Party Prep

Well, it was the BIG weekend; the party weekend for both Watson kids! We spent the whole day last Saturday setting up for Annie's Bindi the Jungle Girl Party in the backyard. I have to say it was a pretty swingin' party complete with alligators, jungle frog, and zebra pinata. Nate says never again in our backyard...I say never say never!

This was before the chaos...

Checking out the gator...

Cake by Sabra...She is our own personal Ace of Cakes!

Happy 4th of July!

More pictures from our weekend...

We went out on Lake Greeson to watch fireworks, which were really good! Rhett had to come back to Newport with Nanna and Poppa, since we were afraid he wouldn't like the boat ride or the loud fireworks.

Geronimo!

Showing off her new skills!

Showing off his old skills...

You guys always have that camera in my face! Can't a little man swim in peace?

We're On Our Way to Aunt Jane's House...

For the Forth this year we went to one of my favorite places...Aunt Jane and Uncle Mark's house!! It was Rhett's first time to go to the 'boro, and Annie was excited to go back. We all had such a fun time. These first two pics are from the ride there.
Cheese!
Awww....

Wet & Wild!

We had such a fun afternoon today! Out of a recommendation, we took the kids to the Paragould Waterpark. It was perfect for little ones--small slides, fun sprinklers, etc. It was basically a water playground. Our only complaint? Completely over crowded. I guess everyone had the same idea of entertainment today!

Poor Ben around all the estrogen, and they do already have plenty!
A little gallop around the pool...

Snack time (the first one anyway)

Newport-Cuties-In-The-House SAY WHAT?
